Since the Wang Fuk Court fire, our relief efforts have evolved into a collaborative volunteer service supporting affected families as they move into transitional housing.
Swire Coca-Cola HK has initiated a coordinated volunteer service and brought together volunteers from Swire Properties, HAECO and The Coca-Cola Company to assist at transitional housing sites across different parts of Hong Kong, including Ming Wah Dai Ha and Kwun Tong Garden Estate of Hong Kong Housing Society, and Tai Po “Good House” of 善導會 SideBySide. Our teams have been focused on preparing units by cleaning, testing facilities, assembling furniture and ensuring essential supplies are in place — practical actions to ease pressure on affected households and help restore a sense of normalcy at a difficult time.
We have been humbled by how quickly colleagues stepped forward: the programme was set up within days and many volunteers raised their hands within hours to help. We understand the road to recovery will be long, and our support will not stop at the immediate relief phase as families rebuild their lives.
